Hi. I'm Danny. I do 'IT'. I've been doing IT for over 20 years now and have watched a vast landscape of technolgies and services come, go and evolve. I began this love affair back in the traditional on-premises datacentre of a company that offered hosting, DR/BR facilities, End of Day processing for offshore banks, IT training facilities and secure offsite storage for tape backups, yes "TAPES"!!

The past 6 years have seen seen my skillsets shift into the cloud space with more and more consumers taking advantage of the convenience that cloud providers have to offer. These skills range from offering fully native cloud and hybrid on-premises solutions along with the traditional requirements of managing physical network devices and Windows operating systems.

Multi Cloud Connectivity

Why only have one? Benefit from Azure, AWS and GCP services with a traditional meshed backend to form a single cloud network. This is achieved by using the native cloud providers services such as Azure Virtual WAN, AWS Transit Gateway and GCP Cloud Interconnect, all with support for either your existing routing protocols (BGP) or static routes to expand your WAN.

Migration to the Cloud

Moving or even just expanding into the cloud can give your restricted and sometimes constrained on-premises network a new lease of life. Full migration isnt always the answer or even required but you open up so many more services and solutions.

Getting your data into the cloud can be done with many 3rd party tools but AWS and Mirosoft offer native tools to achieve this such as AWS Database Migration Service or Azure File Sync.

Sometimes existing cloud data needs to move between tenants, such as during an aquisition or a divesture project and tools like Quest On Demand can help achieve this lateral data movement of user mailboxes, identies, sharepoint sites and more.
